GPS - The Global Positioning System, which uses 24 satellites constantly orbiting the earth to determine the position, speed and direction of an object anywhere on in the world. It is used extensively in tracking moving objects, such as vehicles and assets. GPS can be accurate to approximately 10 meters or less, and so can be used to provide geofencing capabilities.
